Flying fearless humans performances are fantastic. Long live all with good health and with the needy wealth by the grace of the Almighty. Respect females. Mother is goddess and father is god. The Almighty has not created any religion.
Do you realize that you are one small step from being able to perform professionally. All you lack is a reliable passing leap. Your double attempts are close enough. You have great variety in your " simple passes" and your better fliers have excellent form. That counts a lot.
As a kid I knew that I could never fly so instead of an eagle I became a mountain goat, a high wire walker. There is a huge place in my heart for the flying return act. So despite having been associated with the greatest flying act of all time, the Meraz family of Circo Hollywood unknownnes, it still feels GOOD to see that you have someone close to catching a double and someone very close to a double pirouette. And I know you fly for love, not money. It must be an expensive hobby How good were the Meraz? Why has no one ever heard of them? Second they only worked anywhere but their own Mexican circus for less than a week and it ended badly with a budget cut for bad business and an attempt to frame them for stealing equipment. One brother was successful as a hand balancer. How good? The last time I saw them fly the youngest was over 30 and they were ready to retire the flying act they did four tricks I have still never seen anyone else do. Actually not all in the same performance but regularly. One I have forgotten but I can still see the other three when I close my eyes. Jose Luis "chivo" flying as a clown did something I had heard about but never seen before or since. The "flipflap" where the flyer leaves the bar rotating in one direction and meets the catcher rotating the other way. At least that is what it looked like. My jaw dropped. Then Javier "Buchas" did a perfect quad. He started trying it when they heard about Tito Gaona attempting it and got it before Miguel Vasquez did. Probably the first quadruple summersault to the hands of the catcher with return to the platform. Unless someone else no one ever heard of, probably French, did it first. Then in the passing leap his brother "Tagua" did a "double pirouette " return to half the bar. His brother was hanging from the other half. Yes a double pirouette is one and a half twists. By the way don't trust the books. Everyone knows that Lucio Christiani is the only rider to ever do a summersault from the first to the third horse over the middle horse. Well Minnie Alzana wife of Harold Davis "the undisputed champion High Wire walker of the World" told me she worked with several riders who did it on small shows. She did however call Lucio's full twist horse to horse unique. Then I saw a fifteen year old named Franccesco do it on Circo Rolex. With mechanic but he was 15. By the way Lucio is the greatest rider I have ever met. And I saw what may have been Tommy Hannaford's last ride while working for him. I also saw the Royal Loyal-Repinski's last pyramid. They had a fall where someone's head almost hit the ring curb and simplified the act then and there. Lucy Loyal the last Repinski was awesome. Out of the ring she limped and looked like a frail old lady. On and off a horse in the riding acadamy she was heart stopping funny. I I have seen a lot of other riders Carollys, Suarez 's, Ramos, Zoppe' etc so I know the difference between good and great.
I would love to see you develop a real flying act and perform at local fairs and festivals. A little equipment maintenance money. A double and a passing leap would make you better than the least of the professional acts performing today. You have had a double off and on for years and you have the pieces of a passing leap, leap or somersault over the bar and leg catch. You just need to add two on the bar for the return. I have never seen some of the simple tricks you do anywhere else and some of them are beautiful.
